Job Description

This job posting is for a General Manager position at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's logos and food products. Unlike McDonald's USA corporate restaurants, this franchise operates as a separate company and employer, handling all employment decisions independently from McDonald's USA. If hired, the franchisee, not McDonald's USA, will be your employer and responsible for matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • have previous managerial experience preferably in quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail
  • ability to lead and manage a team effectively
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • commitment to maintaining high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness
  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • eligibility to work legally in the country

Job Qualifications

  • Previous General Manager experience running high-volume locations
  • experience in quick service restaurant industry or hospitality or retail sectors
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to set and achieve goals
  • excellent coaching and communication abilities
  • must be 18 years or older to hold a management position

Job Duties

  • Lead the restaurant to run a profitable business
  • ensure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of quality, service, and cleanliness
  • set restaurant goals in collaboration with leadership and create plans to achieve them
  • lead and support Department Managers by helping them set goals and providing coaching and direction
  • oversee hiring and development of Department and Shift Managers to build a strong team
  • monitor department performance and improve operational efficiency
  • maintain high employee engagement and customer satisfaction
