Job Description

This job posting is for a General Manager position at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's logos and food products. Unlike McDonald's USA corporate restaurants, this franchise operates as a separate company and employer, handling all employment decisions independently from McDonald's USA. If hired, the franchisee, not McDonald's USA, will be your employer and responsible for matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

The establishment is part of the widespread McDonald's franchise network, known globally for its quick service restaurant model delivering consistent quality, service, and cleanliness. This particular location benefits from the brand recognition and support of the McDonald's system, while operating under an independent business model, allowing the franchisee flexibility in management and employment practices.

The General Manager role is an integral leadership position responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations and ensuring the restaurant achieves its financial and customer service goals. This position focuses on driving operational excellence by meeting McDonald's customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness, which are critical and set a high expectation level. The General Manager works collaboratively with their leader to set strategic goals for the restaurant and devise plans to meet and exceed those goals.

A strong emphasis is placed on leadership as the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, each responsible for specific operational areas within the restaurant. The General Manager guides these managers by helping them set their own department goals, monitoring progress, and providing coaching and support to optimize department performance. Improving individual departments leads to overall restaurant success.

In addition to operational oversight, the General Manager may also be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and developing Shift and Department Managers to build a capable, motivated team that ensures a strong leadership pipeline for the future. This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing people and processes effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume quick service restaurant environment.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a General Manager, preferably managing high-volume locations within quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail sectors. This experience equips them to handle the demands of the role and deliver outstanding results while maintaining high employee engagement and customer satisfaction. Candidates must be 18 years or older to hold a management position in this McDonald's franchise location.

Job Requirements
