Job Description

This job opportunity is offered by an independently owned and operated McDonald's restaurant franchise. Unlike corporate McDonald's locations, this restaurant is managed by a separate franchisee who holds the license to use the McDonald's logos, food products, and brand standards. This franchisee is solely responsible for all employment decisions, including hiring, supervision, scheduling, discipline, and firing. McDonald's USA has no direct involvement in these employment matters, making this position a unique chance to work within a well-established brand with the personalized focus and culture of an independent business owner.

The restaurant franchise operates in the quick service restaurant industry, delivering fast, high-quality food alongside excellent customer service and restaurant cleanliness. The kitchen and front-of-house teams work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment dedicated to community engagement and customer satisfaction. This McDonald's offers a welcoming atmosphere for a diverse staff that values energy, purposeful work, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. The franchisee emphasizes employee development through coaching, leadership opportunities, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace.

The General Manager role at this McDonald's franchise is a leadership position that demands a strong commitment to running a profitable restaurant and maintaining the highest McDonald's standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This is a pivotal role requiring strategic focus, team leadership, and operational excellence. The General Manager collaborates with leadership to set clear goals and devise actionable plans to achieve them, overseeing the restaurant’s daily operations and long-term success.

In this role, you will lead a team of Department Managers, each responsible for specific operational areas. Your leadership will be essential in setting targets, monitoring progress, coaching for improvements, and driving performance across the restaurant. Your ability to develop and nurture these managers ensures the sustained success of the operation. Additionally, you will be integral in hiring and developing future managerial talent, including Department and Shift Managers, to maintain a skilled and motivated leadership team.

Ideal candidates are those with prior experience managing high-volume restaurants, specifically within quick service or related sectors such as hospitality or retail. Proven leadership skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to inspire a team are critical to thriving in this role. To qualify, candidates need to have completed or matriculated in McDonald's Hamburger University training program or be actively engaged in the training path.

This position also offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support your career aspirations and personal well-being. Benefits include paid vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, educational programs such as college tuition assistance and English language classes, and medical, dental, and vision coverage. Employee recognition programs and resource networks further enhance the supportive company culture.

Joining this McDonald's franchise means becoming part of a team that values growth, education, and career advancement with real pathways to reach your goals. You will have the autonomy to choose your working hours, pursue education alongside work, and build your skills in a supportive environment where being yourself is encouraged. Take advantage of this leadership role to move your career forward in one of the world’s most recognized brands while enjoying the benefits of working with a passionate and dedicated team.
