Job Description

IHOP, a globally recognized brand within the restaurant industry, is renowned for its commitment to providing excellent dining experiences centered around breakfast and casual dining. With a reputation for family-friendly environments and superior customer service, IHOP operates numerous restaurant locations, including its unit at 4410 W Century Blvd, Inglewood, CA. This specific property, identified as 3583, aims to uphold the high standards synonymous with the IHOP brand, ensuring that each guest enjoys a welcoming atmosphere paired with quality food and exceptional service. The establishment is dedicated to fostering strong professional relationships with employees, corporate teams, and guests to maintain a seamless and inviting dining experience.

The General Manager position at IHOP plays a critical leadership role, responsible for overseeing the entire operation of an assigned restaurant unit. This role requires a dynamic and experienced individual capable of managing multiple facets of the business – from staff recruitment and training to financial oversight and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The General Manager directs and coordinates the daily activities within the restaurant to ensure optimal performance, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. This employment opportunity engages the manager in executing the Craft Training program designed to enhance the skills of hourly employees and improve overall guest experience.

A significant aspect of the role involves managing the restaurant floor, ensuring customer interactions remain positive, and handling guest complaints professionally and promptly. The General Manager also implements annual objectives and strategies across finance, marketing, guest services, and human resources, closely following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational plans. This position ensures that food quality adheres to IHOP's specifications in preparation, presentation, and temperature, while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and supply management to prevent shortages and reduce waste.

In addition to operational duties, the General Manager supervises and mentors a team comprising the Assistant Manager, Crew Chief, and hourly employees, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. They are also responsible for maintaining strict sanitation and safety standards, executing marketing promotions effectively, overseeing equipment and facility maintenance, and controlling restaurant security and cash handling. The role demands strong communication skills, financial acumen, and the ability to inspire and retain a motivated workforce. Candidates are expected to contribute to a positive work environment, uphold the brand's image, and drive business growth through superior management practices. This position is ideal for someone with prior experience in food service management, seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity with a reputable restaurant brand like IHOP.
