This franchisee operates multiple Jimmy John's Sandwiches locations and is part of a larger affiliate group that independently owns and manages over 90 Jimmy John's stores across six states including Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The role offered within this franchise group is a Restaurant Manager position located at 2325 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80206. This management role is pivotal to the restaurant's success, requiring oversight of daily operations to ensure customers receive world-class service and high-quality sandwiches promptly. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for managing a team that includes 3 Assistant Managers and a large group of employees, ensuring that labor hours are efficiently used to maintain profitability without sacrificing service quality. This position demands a proactive approach to staffing, training, evaluation, and discipline, fostering a positive work environment and maintaining accountability.

Additionally, the Restaurant Manager handles critical back-of-house operations such as ordering, inventory control, food preparation supervision, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant. Attention to detail is required for administrative duties including accurate completion of paperwork and conducting inventory audits. This individual will also manage cash handling processes, deposits, and adherence to operating procedures to secure financial integrity.

Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, lift items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally perform duties such as climbing and balancing. The role requires excellent communication and mathematical skills as well as proficiency with software programs like Excel and Word to manage various aspects of the business. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous management experience in a restaurant environment
  • Ability to speak, read and write English fluently and clearly
  • Strong math abilities including addition, subtraction, fractions and percentages
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional climbing or balancing
  • Ability to use personal computers and various software programs
  • Availability to work shifts exceeding 50 hours per week
  • Willingness to perform physical tasks and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including hiring, training, evaluation and discipline

Job Duties

  • Manage a staff of 3 Assistant Managers and approximately 3-50 employees in excess of 50 hours of labor each week
  • Assign, oversee and evaluate work for compliance
  • Manage hiring, training, evaluating, discipline and termination of employees
  • Provide on the job training for new employees
  • Delegate and be responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning and paper supplies to ensure minimum loss from waste or theft
  • Assist in supervision, preparation, sales and service of food
  • Forecast food items by estimating what amount of each food item will be consumed per shift
  • Supervise food preparation and service operations while on duty
  • Assist in shoppers during rush periods to maintain restaurant efficiency
  • Ensure every customer receives world class customer service
  • Route deliveries and supervise drivers to maximize delivery business and speed
  • Complete daily food preparations (opening procedures, meat and vegetables slicing, bread production)
  • Execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness
  • Complete daily, weekly and period paperwork with accuracy
  • Control inventory using weekly inventory system and maintain regular inventory ordering schedules
  • Conduct weekly manager meetings
  • Audit systems and procedures as well as shift ending paperwork
  • Complete preventative maintenance and upkeep on store equipment and supplies
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Manage 100% of the cash drawers during the shift
  • Manage deposits and change orders per Deposit Operating Procedure
