We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead this exciting concept with outstanding leadership skills. This full-time role offers an annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000, complemented by excellent health benefits and a 401k plan with company match. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant including managing staffing, inventory, finances, and guest satisfaction efforts. Reporting directly to the District Manager, this exempt position demands a committed and proactive individual capable of driving operational excellence while maintaining a strong and motivated team.
Your leadership will directly influence the success of Craft Republic by ensuring compliance with company policies, legal standards, and managing the performance and development of associates. You will play an integral role in hiring talent, providing ongoing training, and executing business strategies focused on increasing revenue and controlling costs. You will also oversee the ordering and inventory control of food and supplies to optimize profit margins.
In addition to managing finances and staffing, the role involves enhancing the guest experience by auditing food and service quality while building lasting relationships with customers. Safety, sanitation, and security within the facility are top priorities, and you will be responsible for ensuring staff adherence to health regulations and sanitation standards. This position demands hands-on management including the ability to stand for extended periods, handle equipment, and occasionally perform tasks alongside the team as the situation requires.

Job Requirements
- College degree preferred
- at least 5 years experience in a high volume restaurant
- at least 2 years experience in a management role
- at least 1 year experience scheduling and managing labor
- knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
- decision making skills
- valid driver's license
- ability to stand for ten or more hours
- ability to lift 30-50 pounds
- ability to perform tasks involving pushing, pulling, stretching, and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists
- ability to work varied hours including up to 50 hours per week
- ability to perform all restaurant level functions
- ability to lift products and supplies weighing up to 45 pounds
- ability to work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment
- must have any applicable certifications meeting state requirements
Job Qualifications
- College degree is preferred
- bachelor of science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable
- combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative
- at least 5 years experience in a high volume restaurant
- at least 2 years experience in a management role
- at least 1 year experience scheduling and managing labor
- knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
- proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, developing budgets, financial planning and strategy
- decision making skills
- valid driver's license
- excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- Accomplishes restaurant and bar human resource objectives
- maintaining an accurate and up to date manpower plan of restaurant staffing needs
- sets standards for hiring high potential candidates
- executes and oversees staffing, retention, training and development of team members through orientations, ongoing feedback, and establishment of performance expectations
- conducts performance reviews regularly
- enforces policies and procedures and follows disciplinary action standards
- ensures legal and company standards compliance
- analyzes profit and loss statements
- meets restaurant financial objectives by analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions, establishing and monitoring financial controls, developing and implementing strategies to increase average meal checks
- adheres to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
- ensures that all financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately and on time
- maintains operations by executing policies and standard operating procedures
- implements production, productivity, quality, and service standards
- determines and implements system improvements
- monitors, evaluates, and audits food, beverage, and service offerings
- initiates improvements
- builds relationships with guests
- maintains a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
