We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the daily operations of this exciting and popular location. The role is full-time with an attractive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year, accompanied by excellent health benefits and a 401k plan with company match. As the General Manager at Craft Republic, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of the restaurant and bar by providing outstanding leadership, managing staffing and performance, and ensuring optimal financial performance. This position involves the overall management of the venue’s daily operations, including overseeing associate selection, recruitment, training, and development, as well as maintaining a motivated and well-trained team who deliver exemplary customer service.

You will be responsible for inventory control, ordering of food and supplies, and financial management such as analyzing profit and loss statements, monitoring costs including food, beverage, labor, and utilities, and implementing strategies to increase revenue while controlling expenses. Meeting financial goals and improving average guest check values are key aspects of the role. The General Manager will also ensure legal and company standards are strictly adhered to, manage administrative duties related to payroll and invoices, and maintain an environment that is safe, secure, and compliant with sanitation and health regulations.

In addition to operational duties, you will be expected to lead with a clear vision and strong communication skills, enforcing company policies, supporting the retention and development of employees, and promptly addressing any employee grievances or performance issues. Job Requirements

  • College degree is preferred
  • at least 5 years experience in a high volume restaurant
  • at least 2 years experience in a management role
  • at least 1 year experience scheduling and managing labor
  • proficient in computer use including MS Word and Excel
  • valid driver’s license
  • able to stand for 10 or more hours
  • able to lift 30 to 50 pounds
  • able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motion
  • available to work variable hours including approximately 50 hours per week
  • able to work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment
  • able to bend, stoop, twist, and lift products weighing up to 45 pounds
  • must have applicable state certifications

Job Qualifications

  • College degree is preferred
  • bachelor of science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable
  • combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative
  • at least 5 years experience in a high volume restaurant
  • at least 2 years experience in a management role
  • at least 1 year experience scheduling and managing labor
  • knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
  • proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, developing budgets, financial planning and strategy
  • strong decision making skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Accomplishes restaurant and bar human resource objectives
  • maintains an accurate and up to date manpower plan of restaurant staffing needs
  • executes and oversees staffing, retention, training and development of team members through orientations, ongoing feedback, and performance reviews
  • enforces policies and procedures and follows disciplinary action standards
  • analyzes profit and loss statements
  • meets restaurant financial objectives by analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions, and establishing and monitoring financial controls
  • develops and implements strategies to increase average meal checks
  • adheres to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
  • completes all financial, reporting, and personnel/payroll administrative duties accurately and on time
  • maintains operations by executing policies and standard operating procedures
  • implements production, productivity, quality, and service standards
  • determines and implements system improvements
  • maintains guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings
  • initiates improvements and builds relationships with guests
  • maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
  • complies with health and legal regulations
  • maintains security systems
