Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a general manager or in senior restaurant leadership roles
- Proven track record managing high-volume, full-service restaurants
- Demonstrated financial management skills including P&L ownership
- Strong leadership and team development abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant management software preferred
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of guest service and operational excellence
Job Qualifications
- 5 plus years as a general manager or senior restaurant operator
- Experience in high-volume full-service restaurants
- Experience with bar-driven concepts and/or event venues
- Experience managing managers
- Experience owning financial performance
- Ability to operate as a true operator and not just a floor manager
- Comfortable working daily with ownership
- Prior neighborhood restaurant operator (NRO) experience is a plus
- Highly organized, structured, and systems-driven approach
- Financially literate with strong understanding of P&L, labor, and COGS
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build culture and accountability
- Calm under pressure and effective in high-volume environments
- Hands-on, visible leadership style
- Obsession with guest experience and hospitality standards
Job Duties
- Own all daily restaurant operations including front of house, bar, and floor flow
- Maintain and enforce service standards, hospitality, and cleanliness
- Ensure consistent execution during high-volume service and events
- Oversee floor management, guest recovery, and VIP experience
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures, checklists, and sidework are executed
- Full P&L responsibility
- Control and optimize labor cost, bar and beverage COGS, food COGS with chef, and operating expenses
- Analyze weekly sales, trends, and opportunities
- Build schedules aligned to business levels and labor targets
- Oversee inventory systems, audits, and vendor accountability
- Work with ownership and director of operations on budgets, forecasting, and growth strategy
- Hire, train, develop, and lead managers, supervisors, and front of house teams
- Build a bench of future leaders
- Run manager meetings, floor meetings, and performance reviews
- Enforce accountability while building positive culture
- Coach, train, and develop managers
- Oversee onboarding, training systems, and performance standards
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws, handbook policies, and HR standards
- Manage discipline, write-ups, terminations, and performance improvement plans
- Maintain a professional, respectful, high-standards culture
- Own staff morale, retention, and engagement
- Partner with events manager and sales team to ensure flawless execution of private events
- Align staffing, service plans, and timelines for events
- Maintain service standards for high-revenue events
- Oversee BEO execution, staffing plans, and event flow
- Build and enforce checklists, SOPs, training systems, and accountability systems
- Continuously improve efficiency, execution, and profitability
- Create structure that allows the business to scale
- Knowledge of TOAST POS, TOAST Payroll, RESY, Triple Seat, and 7Shifts is a plus
