As part of the Corporate Field Operations team, the General Manager plays a pivotal role in the overall success of the restaurant. This leadership position is centered around executing the restaurant's strategic plan, managing every aspect of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, and driving superior guest and team service. The General Manager is accountable for meeting budgeted sales targets and profitability by analyzing operational data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing effective plans to enhance sales, profits, restaurant service, and operational efficiency.
In this role, the General Manager is responsible for assembling and leading a high-performing team by determining staffing needs, hiring suitable candidates, and ensuring shifts are adequately staffed to maintain consistent and efficient operations. Training and mentoring team members and managers on policies, procedures, and guest service are key responsibilities, along with addressing complaints and policy violations promptly. Providing regular feedback, coaching, and fostering a safe, clean, and fun environment ensures that both employees and guests enjoy a positive experience.
The General Manager operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring high energy, strong communication skills, and flexibility in scheduling. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general systems, along with basic math skills, are essential to managing daily operations effectively. The position typically requires a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for candidates who are Food Safety Certified and have over two years of restaurant management experience, preferably within Quick Service Restaurants (QSR).
