The General Manager role at SHA Mexico represents a senior leadership position that requires a dynamic individual who can effectively bridge strategic vision with hands-on operational execution. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the property operates seamlessly, delivering exceptional guest experiences that uphold the brand's reputation for luxury and wellness. Responsibilities include leading and managing all operational facets such as luxury service delivery, wellness program implementation, and guest experience management. The General Manager will guide and develop a high-performing leadership team capable of achieving both operational excellence and strategic goals. Financial oversight is also a key component, including budget management, revenue optimization, cost control, and monitoring key performance indicators. Engaging directly with high-profile guests, stakeholders, and the public, the role serves as the face of SHA Mexico, embodying the company’s values and commitment to luxury wellness hospitality.
Moreover, the General Manager will drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the property’s position at the forefront of the luxury wellness market. Ensuring compliance with all legal, safety, health, and environmental regulations is essential, as well as protecting assets and managing capital expenditures to sustain long-term property value.
This position demands a seasoned professional with at least 15 years of luxury hospitality experience, including 3 to 5 years in a General Manager or Director of Operations role. The candidate must demonstrate expertise across Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Finance, and Commercial operations, combined with fluency in English and Spanish to communicate effectively in a multicultural and international environment. Advanced studies in Wellness Management, Luxury Hospitality, or an MBA are advantageous.
The role requires strategic vision, strong business orientation, and an ability to influence and manage high-profile stakeholders. Candidates must be adaptable, proactive, and results-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management hotel administration business administration or related field
- At least 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality
- Minimum 3-5 years in a general manager or director of operations role
- Experience with international ultra-luxury brands
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in property management systems and operational software
- Strong operational leadership and hands-on execution skills
- Ability to manage financial performance and KPIs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in multicultural environments
- Willingness to travel as needed
Job Qualifications
