The General Manager role at Denny's is crucial in sustaining the brand's reputation and operational excellence. Reporting to the District Manager, the General Manager is tasked with overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, profit plan achievement, sales growth, and guest satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail management
  • Food Safety Manager certification required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Must value diversity and show respect for others
  • Proven ability to problem solve and handle high stress situations
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and understand contributing factors
  • Identifies and anticipates opportunities for improvement and implements corrective action steps
  • Must be able to perform job duties of every position
  • Must be prepared to multitask according to business demands
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and additional shifts
  • Available to travel occasionally including overnight and airline travel
  • Licensed to operate an automobile with no hours restrictions
  • Has reliable transportation to meet banking obligations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage overall restaurant operations execution and staff management
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and promote a "Guests First" environment
  • Attract, hire, develop, coach, and retain restaurant managers and hourly employees
  • Direct restaurant operations to maintain Denny's Brand Standards for food and facilities
  • Develop and execute local store marketing plans and build community relationships
  • Interpret financial and operational reports, analyze data, and develop solutions for operational gaps
  • Monitor security, cash handling, inventory management, and compliance with employment policies and regulations
