By 1999, Tropical Smoothie Cafe expanded its menu to include a variety of wholesome food options to complement its smoothies, all made fresh to order. Today, the brand prides itself on bold, flavorful smoothies made with real fruits, veggies, and juices, paired with a delicious food menu that includes toasted wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads, and quesadillas prepared with quality meats, fresh produce, and flavorful sauces. The role available is a full-time management position located on-site at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe. This role is essential in delivering on the brand’s promise and values, which include Solid Relationships, Playing to Win, Creative Spirit, and Living Better. The manager will be responsible for monitoring sales growth and cost control against budgeted expectations to ensure that profit goals are consistently met. They will maintain and strive to exceed customer expectations, building strong brand loyalty by providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming environment. The manager also upholds a consistent and professional image for both the cafe and crew by ensuring all sanitation and appearance standards are strictly followed. Communication plays a key role, as they must stay updated on all marketing and promotional materials and execute sales programs following company guidelines. A major aspect of the job includes cultivating relationships within the business community and initiating local store marketing campaigns to increase cafe sales. Additionally, the manager leads recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of new crew members to maintain appropriate staffing levels and support operational excellence. The compensation starts at $1000 per week, with additional earnings potential through tips, bonus pay, and signing bonuses. Job Requirements

  • High school degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in the restaurant or fast-casual field
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, training and developing employees
  • Experience in growing sales and providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence in both front of the house and back of the house
  • Proven track record of managing cost of goods and labor
  • Strong skills in understanding P&L reports and budgets
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain and exceed customer expectations to build brand loyalty
  • Present a consistent, professional image of the cafe and crew by maintaining all sanitation and appearance standards
  • Communicate and stay updated on all marketing and promotional materials
  • Execute marketing and sales programs, following appropriate guidelines
  • Build cafe sales by cultivating relationships in the business community and initiating local store marketing campaigns
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new Crew Members to ensure the cafe is staffed at the appropriate level
