Job Description

Sodexo is currently seeking an experienced General Manager 6 - Food and Nutrition Services to oversee the daily operations of the food service team at HMH JFK University Medical Center located in Edison, New Jersey. JFK University Medical Center is a 499-bed, non-profit, acute care hospital and a significant member of the Hackensack Meridian Health system. The hospital also functions as a teaching hospital specializing in complex neurological and rehabilitation care, providing critical services to patients in the region. This role is an excellent opportunity for a high-impact position where leadership, operational excellence, and a focus on patient experience are paramount.
The General Manager will be responsible for supervising day-to-day food service operations, ensuring the delivery of high quality meals that meet Sodexo and client standards. This includes achieving financial targets, maintaining strong client and customer relationships, and developing strategic plans to enhance service delivery. The role requires creating a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and staff engagement while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements specific to New Jersey healthcare settings.

A bachelor’s degree or higher is mandatory, along with a background in general management in food and nutrition services within healthcare settings.
