This opportunity is for the position of General Manager within the Corporate Field Operations team at Checkers & Rally's. The General Manager is a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire operation of one or more restaurant locations. This position involves managing financial performance, ensuring sales and profit goals are met, maintaining a high standard of guest and team service, and creating an environment where both employees and guests feel valued and satisfied. The role demands a dynamic manager who can analyze operational data, implement improvement plans, and efficiently manage staff to guarantee smooth restaurant operations and excellent customer experiences.

As part of the Corporate Field Operations team, the General Manager will contribute directly to the company’s mission of being the first choice for guests and employees alike. This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about driving sales growth, managing budgets effectively, and fostering a safe, fun, and clean working environment. Additionally, the General Manager will have responsibility for recruiting, training, and developing team members and managers. They will ensure shifts are appropriately staffed, provide coaching and feedback, and uphold all policies and procedures. The position encourages proactive problem-solving and responsiveness to guest complaints to preserve the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Over 2 years restaurant management experience, preferably in quick service restaurants (QSR)
  • Basic math skills
  • Microsoft Office and general systems experience
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and extended hours
  • High energy to keep up with fast paced environment
  • Commitment to core values of integrity, service, excellence, and courage to be bold and grow

Job Duties

  • Meeting budgeted sales and profits by managing all aspects of the P&L
  • Continually analyzing data and developing and executing plans to improve sales and profits and increase restaurant service and efficiency
  • Determining staffing needs and hiring the right candidates for the right position
  • Ensuring shifts are properly staffed to guarantee consistent operations and guest satisfaction
  • Training team members and managers on operations, policies and procedures and guest service
  • Identifying and responding to complaints and policy and procedure violations
  • Providing regular feedback and coaching to employees on their performance
  • Ensuring the restaurant is a safe, clean and fun environment for employees and guests
