With a strong commitment to sustainability, diversity, and inclusion, Sodexo partners with various organizations to deliver exceptional hospitality, catering, and operational services worldwide. It prides itself on fostering an environment that values every employee, promotes professional growth, and champions innovation. The company’s purpose is to create a better everyday for everyone, contributing positively to the economic, social, and environmental progress in the areas it operates. By combining expertise with a passion for service, Sodexo ensures memorable and impactful experiences for clients and customers alike.

The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) has partnered with Sodexo Campus Segment to elevate dining services through the role of General Manager 5. This position is based in Ewing, NJ, and is essential to overseeing a variety of dining operations, including resident dining, a 60-seat buffet restaurant, campus-wide catering, convenience store operations, and summer athletic camp dining services. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless and welcoming hospitality experience tailored to students, faculty, staff, and campus guests. This role requires a dynamic leader who thrives under pressure, embraces innovative solutions, and is passionate about hospitality excellence.

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all dining services. Ensuring financial performance aligns with budgets and operational standards is key, along with maintaining high customer satisfaction and employee engagement. The position offers a significant growth path, where successful leaders may advance to Resident District Manager, reflecting the company’s commitment to career progression. Strong business acumen, adept client relationship management, and an unwavering focus on operational excellence are integral to success in this role.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in unionized workforce leadership, possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate an innovative mindset to continuously enhance customer experiences. You will cultivate relationships with university leadership, becoming an indispensable campus partner who drives positive change and fosters a collaborative work environment. Attention to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations is critical to uphold the highest standards within all operational areas.

Sodexo offers a comprehensive benefits package, competitive salary (dependent on education and experience), and opportunities for professional development within a supportive and inclusive organizational culture. This is a unique opportunity for a driven General Manager to make a lasting impact on the dining and hospitality experience at a premier educational institution, while advancing their career in a respected multinational company.
