The General Manager 4- Food role at Sodexo is a key leadership position within the healthcare food services team at LHP Mountainside Food in Montclair, NJ. This role is especially suited for a seasoned professional with a background in healthcare food service management, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at leading teams to deliver exceptional patient and client satisfaction. The General Manager will oversee a diverse team of approximately 70 employees, including five Sodexo managers and 55 union hourly client employees, ensuring seamless daily operations and adherence to all regulatory and company standards.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of food service operations within a hospital setting, including patient services, in-room dining programs, and catering. The role demands a high level of strategic planning, financial acumen, and human resource management to drive operational success. Effective communication skills are crucial, as you will interact directly with clients and manage staff training and development initiatives. Experience in healthcare food service is highly valued, and certification as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is considered a significant asset.

Key responsibilities include managing financial budgets, ensuring compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards, and leading human resources functions such as recruitment, training, and performance management. The position also involves fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, emphasizing sanitation and culinary excellence.
