The restaurant located at 921 E Washington in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to lead daily operations and ensure the restaurant’s success and adherence to corporate and local standards.

The role of the Restaurant General Manager is critical to the operational success of this Hardee's location. The General Manager holds comprehensive responsibility for managing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including overseeing product preparation, maintaining exceptional customer service, managing the maintenance and repair of the facility, controlling inventory, and leading the team effectively. This leadership role requires strategic oversight in recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining qualified staff, while fostering a motivated, productive work environment.

In this position, the General Manager ensures compliance with company policies and legal regulations, emphasizing workplace safety and health standards such as adherence to the Occupational Safety and Health Act and local health codes. A key responsibility is financial stewardship, including managing the restaurant's profit and loss by implementing cash control and security procedures, inventory management, labor cost oversight, and reviewing financial reports for informed decision-making.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Controls day-to-day operations by scheduling, ordering, and developing the restaurant team members
  • controls profit and loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
  • recruits, interviews, and hires team members, conducts performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action, motivates, and trains
  • has authority to hire and terminate (or participate in those decisions) with approval/partnership from Human Resources
  • ensures that the Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health, and safety codes, as well as the company safety and security policies are being adhered to
  • ensures that the restaurant follows the preventative maintenance program with regards to facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance
  • ensures a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team
  • maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensures products are consistent with company quality standards
  • ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
