The role of Restaurant Manager is critical to ensuring that all functions of the restaurant operate smoothly to achieve profitability and uphold exceptional standards. The manager will oversee a team including three assistant managers and about 25 to 30 employees, ensuring all team members perform their roles effectively and maintain the company's service standards. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage staffing logistics including hiring, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations with a focus on fostering a strong team culture. The Restaurant Manager will also be responsible for inventory control, ordering supplies, monitoring food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the establishment. Exceptional customer service is at the core of this position, with the manager playing a direct role in assisting during service rush periods and ensuring customers receive prompt and friendly attention.

Additional responsibilities include supervising delivery operations to optimize speed and maximize business, managing cash controls and deposit procedures, and ensuring compliance with all operational audits and paperwork accuracy. The manager will conduct weekly meetings to promote ongoing staff development, oversee the implementation of maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities, and uphold all systems and operating procedures with integrity. Physical stamina and the ability to meet the demands of a fast-paced food service environment are essential. The ideal candidate must be flexible, willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as dictated by business needs. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age

Job Qualifications

  • Strong math abilities including addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages
  • fluency in English including speaking, reading and writing
  • proficient in personal computer use including software such as Excel and Word
  • prior experience managing a similar sized team in a restaurant environment
  • knowledge of inventory control and cash handling procedures
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • excellent customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Manages a staff of 3 assistant managers and approximately 25-30 employees
  • Assigns, oversees and evaluates work for compliance
  • Manage hiring, training, evaluating, discipline and termination of employees
  • Provides on the job training for new employees
  • Delegates and is responsible for the ordering receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning and paper supplies for the unit to ensure a minimum loss from waste or theft
  • Assists in the supervision, preparation, sales and service of food
  • Forecasts food items by estimation what amount of each food item will be consumed per shift
  • Supervises food preparation and service operations while on duty
  • Assists in shoppers during rush periods to ensure the maintenance of restaurant efficiency
  • Assists in shoppers with greeting customers, taking orders, using the cash register, assembling orders and checking for completeness and correctness
  • Ensures that every customer receives world class customer service
  • Routes deliveries and supervises drivers to maximize delivery business and speed
  • Completes daily food preparations (opening procedures, meat and vegetables slicing, bread production)
  • Executes systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness
  • Completes daily, weekly and period paperwork with accuracy
  • Controls inventory by using weekly inventory system and maintain regular inventory ordering schedules
  • Conducts weekly manager meetings
  • Audits system and procedures as well as shift ending paperwork
  • Completes preventative maintenance and upkeep on stores equipment and supplies
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Responsible for 100% of the cash drawers during the shift
  • Manages deposits and change orders per Deposit Operating Procedure
