Job Description

This job posting is for a General Manager position at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent McDonald’s franchisee, separate from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s brand, logos, and food products but operates as a distinct entity with its own employment practices. This means the franchisee independently manages all employment-related matters including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, supervision, and scheduling. If hired, you will be employed by the franchisee and not by McDonald’s USA, which will have no involvement in employment decisions or access to your application.

Job Requirements

  • must have prior experience as a general manager
  • knowledge of quick service restaurant operations preferred
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • availability to work flexible hours
  • must meet age requirement of 18 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • previous general manager experience at high volume locations
  • experience in quick service restaurants preferred
  • experience in hospitality or retail considered
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to set goals and deliver results
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • must be 18 years or older

Job Duties

  • run a profitable restaurant
  • ensure the restaurant meets McDonald’s standards of quality, service, and cleanliness
  • set restaurant goals and create plans to achieve them
  • lead and support Department Managers
  • monitor department progress and provide coaching and direction
  • hire and develop Department and Shift Managers
  • optimize restaurant operations through strong team leadership
