The General Manager (GM) role at Ulta Beauty is both dynamic and demanding, designed for an individual who thrives in fast-paced, results-oriented environments. The GM is the leader responsible for managing a single retail store, including the salon operations, and leading a team of managers and associates to deliver exceptional sales growth and guest experiences. In this role, the General Manager champions Ulta Beauty's mission, vision, and values by cultivating a high-performing team focused on meeting and exceeding sales and service goals. They play an essential role in driving the store's profitability through top-line sales growth, service excellence, and stringent expense control. Utilizing forecasting and payroll budgets, the GM ensures optimal scheduling, productivity, and workload management.

People leadership is a core element of the position, where the GM attracts, hires, retains, and nurtures diverse top talent. They address staffing needs efficiently, resolve policy violations with appropriate actions, and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and engaged team environment.
