Job Description

This job opportunity is for the position of General Manager at a McDonald’s restaurant that is independently owned and operated by a franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s logos, branding, and food products, but operates as a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. If hired, your employment will be with the franchisee who is solely responsible for all employment matters such as hiring, firing, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA does not participate in these decisions nor receive your employment application or personal information.

Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years or older
  • prior experience managing high volume quick service restaurants
  • strong leadership skills
  • good communication abilities
  • ability to develop and coach teams
  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • commitment to meet McDonald’s standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience as a General Manager in high volume quick service restaurants
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication and coaching abilities
  • experience in hospitality or retail industries preferred
  • ability to work collaboratively with franchise leadership
  • knowledge of restaurant operations

Job Duties

  • run a profitable restaurant ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness standards
  • set restaurant goals with franchise leadership
  • create and implement plans to meet goals
  • lead and support Department Managers
  • provide coaching and direction to improve departments
  • hire and develop Department and Shift Managers
  • monitor and follow up on progress towards goals
