The General Manager role at Chipotle represents a significant leadership opportunity within one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands globally. As a General Manager, you will lead from the front by hiring, training, and developing team members, building a positive and winning culture, and managing the operational and financial performance of a high-volume restaurant.
General Managers are responsible for ensuring excellent guest experiences, from maintaining top-notch hospitality standards to overseeing speed, accuracy, and quality of service. The role involves managing all aspects of restaurant operations including recruitment, scheduling, payroll, sales forecasting, P&L control, compliance with food safety regulations, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the dining environment. You will also have responsibility for driving sales through creative marketing initiatives such as fundraisers and community engagement and fostering an environment that promotes continuous improvement and high team morale.
Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, the General Manager must be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working varied shifts including weekends, lunches, and dinners. The position offers a competitive salary estimated between $55,000 and $77,500 per year, plus quarterly bonuses tied to performance, as well as comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement plans, tuition assistance, paid time off, and holiday closures.

Job Duties
- Be guest obsessed - uphold top-notch standards of excellence and hospitality
- Ensure speed of service, accuracy, and positive guest obsessed experience
- Be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment and hiring, people processes and performance management
- Train and develop crew members, shift leaders, and Apprentices, utilizing Chipotle's training tools and resources
- Direct our team members to deliver accurate and on-time digital orders
- Be accountable for the day-to-day operational business of your restaurant (creating and managing a schedule, P&L control and management, sales-forecasting, recruiting and interviewing)
- Ensure the dining room remains clean and the restaurant is always guest-ready
- Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards
- Be accountable for overall financial success of the restaurant, achieving annual sales & cash flow plan
- Work a schedule that includes lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts to provide leadership across all hours of operation
