Job Description

This job opportunity is available at a restaurant that operates under a license from McDonald's USA but is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. This means that while the restaurant uses McDonald's trademarks and food products, it is managed separately, and all employment decisions, including hiring, firing, supervision, and scheduling, are handled exclusively by the franchisee. The franchisee is a separate employer from McDonald's USA and is solely responsible for employment-related matters. McDonald's USA does not have involvement in employment decisions or processes for this location.

The position offered is for a General Manager, a key leadership role within the restaurant. This role entails running the restaurant efficiently and profitably while maintaining McDonald's high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. The General Manager acts as the driving force behind achieving the restaurant's operational goals and improving its overall performance. They work closely with their leaders and a team of Department Managers who oversee distinct areas of the restaurant's operations.

The General Manager's responsibilities include setting strategic goals, creating actionable plans to meet those goals, and ensuring consistent progress through coaching and leadership. This position requires strong leadership and team management skills, as the General Manager is in charge of guiding Department and Shift Managers toward delivering excellent customer service and operational excellence. They play a vital role in building and developing a capable team that supports the restaurant's success and future growth.

Ideal candidates for this role typically boast substantial experience in managing high-volume quick service restaurants, though hospitality and retail management experience is also highly valued. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this managerial position. The role offers a satisfying career path with opportunities for advancement, competitive pay, and an impressive benefits package.

The benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, sabbaticals, education assistance programs such as Archways to Opportunity—which facilitates high school completion, college tuition assistance, and English language classes—comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, disability and life insurance, paid leaves of absence, service awards, employee resource connections, adoption assistance, and a matching gifts program. All these benefits contribute to making the General Manager role an attractive and rewarding career choice.

Working in this restaurant environment requires commitment, energy, and a passion for managing a team and delivering a high-quality customer experience. The General Manager position is not just about operational tasks but also about inspiring employees, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving results that benefit both customers and shareholders. This job is well-suited for individuals who are ambitious, goal-oriented, and eager to grow in their careers within a well-established brand framework supported by robust training and development programs.

By joining this team, candidates are stepping into a dynamic work environment where leadership skills are prized, and opportunities for personal and professional development are abundant. The franchisee's commitment to employee growth and development ensures that the General Manager will be supported as they work toward elevating restaurant performance and their own career objectives.
