Job Description

This job opportunity is offered at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee of McDonald’s, not by McDonald’s USA itself. The franchisee has a license to use McDonald’s logos, brand, and food products to run the restaurant while operating as a separate and independent business entity. This means that all employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are handled solely by the franchisee and not by McDonald’s USA. Applicants for this role will be employed directly by the franchisee company, excluding McDonald’s USA from any control or responsibility for employment decisions or application processing.

The position available is for a General Manager role at this McDonald’s franchise. This is a key leadership position focused on running a profitable restaurant while maintaining McDonald’s high customer service standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. As the General Manager, you will work closely with your leader to set achievable business goals and develop strategic plans to meet and exceed those targets. You will manage a team of Department Managers, guiding them to achieve their departmental goals through coaching, feedback, and leadership. This role requires strong people-management skills to build and maintain a motivated and efficient team.

Ideal candidates for this General Manager position will have previous experience managing high volume quick-service restaurant locations, preferably with a background in hospitality or retail industries. The role demands someone who can drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with company standards, and provide exceptional customer experiences consistently. Additionally, developing future leaders by hiring and mentoring Department and Shift Managers is a crucial part of this job. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, meeting the age requirement for management roles in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.

As part of the employment package, this role offers competitive pay along with a generous benefits suite. The General Manager will be eligible for 15 to 25 days of paid vacation, 10 paid holidays, an anniversary splash and an 8-week sabbatical after 10 years of service.
