Job Description
This job posting is for a General Manager position at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald’s logos and food products. Although McDonald’s USA provides the brand and product recognition, this franchisee operates as a separate company and employer. This distinction means the franchisee maintains full responsibility for all employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling within the restaurant. McDonald’s USA does not control employment decisions or receive any employment applications related to this role. The General Manager role is critical for ensuring the restaurant operates profitably and continuously meets McDonald’s rigorous standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Successful candidates will lead a team of Department Managers, helping to set and achieve goals in order to improve departmental performance and overall restaurant success.
The General Manager position offers candidates the opportunity to develop their leadership skills by coaching Department Managers and guiding them to meet their objectives effectively. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to create operational plans aligned with the restaurant’s goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences consistently. Additionally, the General Manager may participate in hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a solid leadership pipeline that supports long-term business success.
Ideal applicants will possess previous experience managing high-volume quick service restaurants or have relevant experience in hospitality or retail sectors. The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old, with a focus on driving results and fostering a motivated, high-performing team.
