Job Description

The McDonald's Yoon Organization is an independent franchisee entity that owns and operates multiple McDonald's restaurants. With over 20 years of experience, this franchisee operates under a license granted by McDonald's USA to use the iconic logos and food products that customers expect. However, it is important to recognize that the McDonald's Yoon Organization is a distinct company and employer, separate from McDonald's USA. All employment matters, including hiring, firing, staffing, discipline, and scheduling, are solely the responsibility of this independent franchisee. As such, applicants will engage directly with the franchisee and not McDonald's USA during their employment journey.

The McDonald's Yoon Organization takes pride in fostering a collaborative culture that emphasizes teamwork and mutual support. Operating nine restaurants, the organization subscribes to the core philosophy of "no person or restaurant left behind," underscoring the commitment to collective success. The team of supervisors, directors, and general managers work closely together, ensuring that each restaurant operates at an outstanding level. The organization values creating a culture of care that extends to both employees and customers, supporting employee development while delivering excellent customer experiences.

The General Manager role within the McDonald's Yoon Organization is critical to maintaining the profitability and high operational standards of each restaurant. Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the General Manager leads a team of Shift Managers and is responsible for setting and achieving the restaurant's business goals. With open availability required, the General Manager must ensure adherence to the Company's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC).

This leadership role encompasses numerous responsibilities aimed at driving performance, motivating employees, and delivering exceptional service. General Managers must foster a welcoming and respectful environment, be sensitive to cultural and generational differences, and build team morale and inclusion. They have hiring and promotion authority and are tasked with ensuring consistent employee training and development. Problem-solving and managing difficult or sensitive issues promptly are essential elements of the role.

In terms of operational excellence, the General Manager analyzes data from various sources to identify improvement opportunities and develop action plans. Communicating the restaurant's business plan and customer service vision clearly to the team is vital. The General Manager models commitment to outstanding service and customer recovery while staying informed on new products and promotions. Proactive identification and immediate resolution of safety risks and other issues are required to maintain a safe and productive workplace.

On the business front, General Managers hold themselves and their teams accountable for meeting targets and objectives. They display a "can-do" attitude, ownership, and dedication to achieving results, removing obstacles to progress, and executing work with a sense of urgency and high standards. Ethical decision-making that benefits both the restaurant and customers is a must. The role also involves delegating initiatives effectively and being proactive in performance management.

Successful General Managers demonstrate strong leadership behaviors, maintaining composure under pressure and fostering commitment to change among management teams. They listen attentively using nonverbal cues, communicate transparently and consistently, and keep their teams well-informed about goals, results, and important events.

This position offers a competitive annualized salary ranging from $64,480 to $85,000, along with an annual discretionary bonus. The McDonald's Yoon Organization also provides comprehensive medical and dental benefits, paid time off and sick leave, college tuition assistance, and a cell phone stipend. Candidates can expect to join a supportive and dynamic team where their contributions are valued and success is a shared goal.
