The position of General Manager at this hotel is a pivotal role responsible for the overall success and smooth functioning of the property. Job Requirements
- Minimum of three years supervisory experience managing at least six employees
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Five years hotel industry experience preferred
- Accounting experience preferred
- Must be professional, honest, and trustworthy
- Excellent attendance and punctuality required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be capable of standing extended periods and lifting up to 60 pounds
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and long hours
- Knowledge of franchise standards and hotel policies
- Ability to perform essential functions including communication and multitasking
- Ability to maintain a safe and secure environment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years supervising at least six associates in a branded hotel environment
- Extensive knowledge of hotel operations including housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Familiarity with accounting practices and budget management
- Proficiency with property management systems and hotel technology
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle multi-faceted responsibilities and multitasking
Job Duties
- Manage all hotel departments to achieve set revenue and guest satisfaction goals
- Hire, train, coach, and develop hotel staff including supervisors and associates
- Oversee administrative functions including scheduling, payroll, inventories, and orders
- Implement company Standard Operating Procedures and franchise standards
- Ensure safety and security across all hotel operations
- Maintain excellent guest service and product quality standards
- Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and corporate management to resolve issues and promote hotel objectives
