The role of a Wendy's Restaurant Manager is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of the restaurant. This position involves managing both the operations and the staff, implementing company policies, procedures, and programs effectively to meet operational objectives. The manager is responsible for leading by example with strong ethics and compliance to all federal, state, and local laws. The job requires excellent leadership skills to provide direction, training, and development to subordinate managers and crew. The manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the restaurant's standards, achieving financial goals through careful P&L analysis and corrective measures, and ensuring that every customer leaves satisfied. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business materials
  • Proficient mathematical skills including discounts, interest, proportions, percentages
  • Strong reasoning ability to define problems and draw conclusions
  • Must attend GM Core classes and Crew Interviewing Workshop within 90 days of hire or promotion
  • Must be Serve-Safe certified

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of company’s operating systems and procedures
  • Knowledge of company’s policies and procedures
  • Experience with P&L analysis and corrective measures
  • Understanding of supervisory practices
  • Familiarity with planning and budgeting
  • Skilled in interviewing practices
  • Competent in training and development practices
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to present information effectively to managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Proficient in mathematical skills including basic algebra and geometry
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities
  • Serve-Safe certification required

Job Duties

  • Manage the operations and staff of Wendy's restaurant
  • Execute all company policies, procedures, programs and systems
  • Ensure objectives are met in all areas while following company guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ethical business practices
  • Provide leadership, direction, training and development to subordinate managers and crew
  • Analyze profit and loss and implement corrective measures
  • Recruit, interview and train new staff
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
  • Oversee inventory control and ordering processes
