Job Description
Mo' Bettahs is a thriving restaurant brand deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture and values. It emphasizes core principles such as Kuleana (Responsibility), Ho'okipa (Hospitality and Aloha), Ho'okuku (Competitiveness), Mo'omeheu (Culture), Miki'oi (Fine Craftsmanship), and Pono (Righteousness). These values shape the identity and operational ethos of the company, fostering an environment that celebrates the unique Hawaiian spirit and culture while promoting responsible and excellent service. As a brand, Mo' Bettahs is committed to creating an atmosphere where hunger, kindness, energy, humility, and selflessness are not only encouraged but expected from every team member. The company prides itself on providing personable service, paying meticulous attention to detail, and striving for excellence in everything they do. This foundation ensures that customers enjoy an authentic Aloha experience during every visit.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about leading a vibrant team to uphold the Mo' Bettahs brand day in and day out. It requires a leader capable of managing both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and top-quality food preparation while overseeing sales performance. Leading by example, the manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all customer service matters, championing the brand’s customer satisfaction goals and overall reputation. They will be responsible for maintaining an efficient line speed measured through transaction times and driving same-store sales growth by motivating their team and optimizing operations. This position coordinates and leads weekly meetings with key team members, including the Manager in Training, Off-Premise Coordinator, and Certified Trainer, to foster continuous improvement and alignment with company goals. Maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and security standards, alongside daily attention to the physical appearance of both staff and the restaurant, is a critical part of the job.
The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience, with at least two years managing a team of up to 40 members within a business or food service setting. They will have a demonstrated history of promoting and developing talent within their team, possess strong decision-making skills, and exhibit excellent communication capabilities. They must embody Mo' Bettahs core values and the Aloha spirit in interactions with customers, team members, and vendors alike. With a base salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000, and attractive performance-based bonuses including monthly and stay bonuses that can significantly augment total compensation, this is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated individual seeking to blend cultural respect with professional growth. Mo' Bettahs also offers comprehensive benefits such as health, vision, dental, and life insurance, along with team member meals and discounts for employees and their families. The restaurant is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering an inclusive workplace free from harassment of any kind. This role demands a responsible, energetic individual ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment and uphold the values that make Mo' Bettahs unique.
