Job Description
Moe's is a Pittsburgh-based restaurant franchise known for its fresh food offerings and strong commitment to supporting its employees and local communities. Unlike typical corporate environments that may feel rigid and unappreciative, Moe's emphasizes a culture of respect, empowerment, and genuine care for its team members. The franchise operates with a clear focus on providing tools for success during the workday while ensuring freedom in personal life, creating a balanced and healthy working environment. This approach is backed by significant local support teams specialized in marketing, maintenance, catering, and HR, all based in Pittsburgh. This local presence ensures that employees receive timely assistance and a more personal connection compared to distant corporate offices 2,000 miles away. Moe's restaurants operate daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, providing a convenient schedule that avoids late-night closing times common in the food service industry. Their dedication to a supportive community is further highlighted by their unique marketing strategy that reinvests budget back into the communities they serve instead of spending heavily on traditional ads such as TV or radio. Every day, Moe's team members prep, grill, and serve fresh, high-quality food to their patrons, ensuring a vibrant community dining experience with the perfect blend of great food and genuine hospitality.
The role at Moe's is designed for restaurant professionals who seek more than just a job—they want a career where they feel valued, supported, and rewarded. The company offers an above-average base salary supplemented with real bonus opportunities, enabling dedicated employees to cross the $70,000 annual income mark by delivering on their commitments. Beyond financial incentives, Moe's provides a generous benefits package from the outset, including two weeks of vacation during the first year, your birthday off, and guaranteed closures on all major holidays, promoting the importance of time off and work-life balance. Employees also enjoy other perks like receiving the latest model iPhone on their anniversary date if they have worked 1,000 hours within the year, reflecting Moe's culture of recognizing and rewarding commitment.
Moe's crew members benefit from a competitive wage, averaging over $15/hour after tips, with vacation earned on every shift worked, enabling them to truly enjoy their lives outside of work. In terms of health and wellness benefits, the company offers an 80% employer-paid health insurance plan, a 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 a year, available not just to managers but also extended to the whole crew. Employee meals and uniforms are fully provided, ensuring that team members feel taken care of both on and off the clock. The operational side of the job is supported by modern technology, including app-based scheduling and updated POS equipment integrated seamlessly with payroll, which fosters focus on people and guest experience rather than administrative burdens. By managing great people in an empowering and technologically advanced environment, the role invites candidates to join a team that genuinely loves, supports, and invests in its people and neighborhoods. Moe's is committed to hiring individuals who align with their unique culture and passion for community, making it an ideal workplace for professionals eager to make a meaningful impact every day while enjoying a fulfilling career path.
