Job Requirements

  • previous 2+ years of general manager experience in a busy select service hotel or 4+ years as an assistant general manager
  • ability to communicate effectively through email
  • proficiency with spreadsheets and database analysis
  • experience handling hotel information and accounting systems
  • experience working in premium brand hotels highly preferred

Job Qualifications

  • previous 2+ years of general manager experience in a busy select service hotel or 4+ years as an assistant general manager
  • computer and office skills with ability to communicate effectively via email and analyze data from spreadsheets and databases
  • experience with hotel information and accounting systems pertinent to the brand
  • premium brand experience preferred such as Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott or IHG

Job Duties

  • focus on and adhere to key success measures such as Revenue Index, Flex/Flow, and Guest Satisfaction
  • develop a staff optimization plan for all leaders to understand their mission and deliver exceptional service within 30 days
  • establish relationships with key players including Hotel Ownership and Field/Corporate Staff within the first 30 days
  • foster positive relationships with onsite and regional sales staff as well as corporate sales and marketing leadership
  • balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
  • maximize potential of associates through team cohesion
  • aggressively grow market share particularly from local competitors
