Job Description

H.House is an independent hospitality management company operating within the select service hotel industry, known for its dedication to delivering outstanding guest experiences and fostering a supportive work environment for its employees. As a franchisee holding the ownership and operational responsibilities for one of Marriott International's branded hotels, H.House functions as a separate legal and employment entity. This means that the hotel’s employment policies, hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, and benefits are directly managed by H.House rather than Marriott International. This unique structure allows H.House to maintain a distinct company culture focused on empowering its team members and giving them opportunities for growth and professional development.

At H.House, the core philosophy centers on the belief that the staff is the key to the company’s success. The company places a strong emphasis on creating a positive workplace culture where every team member feels valued, motivated, and equipped to perform at their best. H.House prioritizes investing in employee growth through various developmental programs, coaching, and mentorship opportunities that encourage lifelong learning and career advancement. The company is actively seeking passionate hospitality professionals who thrive in dynamic environments, value integrity, and are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone can succeed together.

The role of General Manager (GM) at H.House represents a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the operations of one of their premier hotels. The General Manager will serve as the face of the hotel and the trusted leader guiding the team towards excellence in guest service, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This role requires a proactive, organized, and approachable leader with an extensive background in hospitality management, ideally holding a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field and having at least five years of leadership experience.

The General Manager’s primary objective is to drive revenue growth through effective yield management strategies, control costs using innovative operational methods, and consistently elevate guest experiences beyond established brand standards. Managing both hotel and restaurant operations, the GM will be responsible for ensuring financial targets are exceeded while maintaining a strong focus on guest satisfaction and team engagement. The successful candidate must be an inspiring communicator and motivator, capable of coaching staff, promoting accountability, and fostering collaboration across departments.

Additionally, the General Manager will play a key role in building community relationships and supporting sales teams to enhance market presence and boost occupancy rates. Flexibility in working hours is essential, including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of this leadership position.

H.House offers a competitive salaried compensation package for this role, ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 annually. After 90 days of continuous employment, employees are eligible to participate in an attractive benefits program that includes health, dental, and vision insurance (with 50% of the employee premium paid by the employer), employee discounts on room rates at participating hotels, paid time off, and sick/personal time off.

Overall, joining H.House as a General Manager is an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking hospitality company that values people first. The company’s mission to create unforgettable guest experiences and empower its staff makes it an excellent choice for ambitious hospitality leaders eager to make a significant impact and grow their careers within a supportive and innovative environment.
