Job Description

Located in the scenic community of Los Altos Hills, our cafe is a beloved local spot known for its welcoming atmosphere and quality food offerings. We are currently looking to immediately fill the position of Front of House Manager. This is a full-time role with a consistent and accommodating schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The position offers competitive pay at $33.00 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package. As the Front of House Manager, you will be the face of our cafe, responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations and ensuring a smooth and exceptional guest experience.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in food service who also has some prep or cooking skills. The position requires managing daily tasks such as preparing and serving food and beverages, handling point of sale transactions, delegating tasks to the team, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. You will handle important administrative duties including counting and balancing registers, completing sales reports, and placing food orders. Furthermore, you will coordinate and execute catering orders, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate must have experience in food service, excellent communication skills, and must be able to communicate effectively with both customers and team members in English. Safety is a top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety rules and active accident prevention are essential. You will also take an active role during emergencies or busy periods by substituting or assisting other employees to maintain quality service.

In addition to operational and managerial responsibilities, the role requires physical stamina such as the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Commitment, responsibility, reliability, and excellent customer service ethics are critical traits for success in this position. Training in ServSafe principles will be provided to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
