Job Description

This role is for a General Manager at the Flagstaff property, a pivotal position within the Hotel Operations Leadership team. The General Manager will be responsible for leading all departments within the hotel, ensuring that guests receive top-tier service and experiences that align with Drury Hotels' vision and core values. Being the face of the hotel’s management, the General Manager plays a crucial role in recruiting, training, and mentoring team members to achieve excellence in their roles and advance their careers. The position demands strategic leadership focused on driving key business metrics, including quality, service, profitability, and employee engagement, to ensure the property meets or surpasses its targets. The role requires hands-on involvement in budget development and financial oversight to maintain operational success.

Job Requirements

  • Passion to serve others and exceed our guests' expectations
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of three-year supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership success
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Provide expert leadership across all departments of the hotel taking the lead on providing exceptional guest service
  • Recruit, train, develop, and coach team members to excel in their career growth
  • Deliver on key business metrics of quality, service, profitability, and team
  • Assist in developing an annual operating budget and ensure the hotel meets and or exceeds expectations
  • Role model quality assurance best practices each day with the team and consistently meet or exceed all measures
  • Apply strong critical thinking skills to adeptly navigate challenging situations, proactively address issues, and demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement
