Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in hotel operations
  • Strong knowledge of marketing plans, security programs, personnel and labor relations, budget forecasting, and hospitality law
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel property continuously
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt communication for different audiences
  • Willingness to travel for corporate meetings and sales trips
  • Commitment to attendance and availability
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of management experience preferably in both Rooms and Food and Beverage
  • Knowledgeable in hotel operations including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, business plan preparation, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel property and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt communication style to diverse audiences including supervisors, coworkers, and the public

Job Duties

  • Create and maintain a customer-driven hotel with a customer-keeping vision that inspires hotel associates to perform excellently
  • Oversee quality processes to ensure customer satisfaction by consistently delivering product quality and service
  • Tour and visually inspect property daily to monitor condition, cleanliness, cost control, and quality of product and service
  • Travel to attend corporate meetings, sales trips, and participate on committees such as Research, Development, and Standards
  • Assist Human Resources with associate issues following HEI Hotel and Resorts policies, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, problem resolution, communication, and recommending discipline or termination
  • Participate in community affairs and maintain a positive public image for the property and HEI Hotels and Resorts
  • Meet with potential and current clients to promote the hotel
  • Actively involve in Sales and Revenue Management functions including following HEI Key Meeting SOPs, participating in Group site inspections, group closing processes, and reviewing ESS/MPSI Measurement Tool results
  • Guide members of the Executive Committee, Management, and staff to make sound business decisions
  • Create and execute the financial objectives of the hotel
  • Comply with attendance rules and maintain regular work availability
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
