Job Requirements
- Minimum three years related hospitality management or related field experience
- Customer experience required
- Must have valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle check
- Ability to work in outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals
- Moderate noise level in work environment
- Ability to travel locally and infrequently via air travel
- Ability to push, pull, lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Read, write and speak English
- Write effective and grammatically correct correspondence
- Present information in small group situations
- Communicate professionally with guests, associates, and supervisors
Job Qualifications
- Minimum three years related hospitality management or related field experience
- Customer experience required
- Valid driver’s license and successful motor vehicle check
- 2-year degree highly preferred
- Basic knowledge of computers and software including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets
- Ability to organize multiple projects and manage priorities
- Ability to manage and direct staff to perform daily tasks
- Conversational or proficient in Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of hotel operations and guest services
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Job Duties
- Demonstrates and promotes 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests
- Ensures all guest related issues are resolved consistent with company goals and objectives
- Ensures rooms are Guest Ready including highest cleanliness standards and maintenance of public areas and grounds
- Completes daily room and Guest Ready room inspections
- Manages ESA Brand Standards and processes while pursuing continuous improvement
- Follows proper recruiting, interviewing, screening, reference checking, and hiring procedures
- Onboards and trains new associates including Best Day Ever and Extended Stay University training course compliance
- Drives positive work environment through teamwork and recognition
- Partners with District Manager to generate optimal associate performance including coaching and policy enforcement
- Conducts daily team meetings to communicate company updates and hotel needs
- Provides team members with necessary tools and supplies
- Maintains appropriate PAR levels and manages purchase orders within budget
- Efficiently manages rooms to keep all guest rooms in service
- Controls labor expenses by approving Daily Punches timely and monitoring Productivity reports
- Responsible for cash management and timely payment collections
- Ensures quality lead generation through guest information collection and market awareness
- Upholds and enforces ESA standards and policies
- Ensures bank deposits comply with company policy
- Completes competitive surveillance through Sales Drive Bys
- Reviews in-house rates
- Adheres to federal, state, and local employment laws
- Performs operational duties as needed
- Directly manages Assistant General Manager or Team Leader
- Actively monitors guest experience and social media for response and resolution
