Currently, Creative Dining Services is seeking a General Food Service Worker for the Northpoint Christian School located in Southaven, MS. This role is fundamental in supporting the daily operations of the school’s food service environment. The General Food Service Worker will perform a wide range of duties which includes preparing and serving food and beverages, assisting in set-up and service areas, as well as maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the workplace. This position operates within a structured schedule from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, making it ideal for individuals seeking consistent daytime working hours.
The General Food Service Worker will be responsible for setting up food service areas such as kitchen or salad stations, checking food temperatures, preparing meals, and serving food to customers based on specific guidelines. Additional responsibilities include replenishing food items and serviceware, maintaining sanitary conditions in the work environment, safely operating cooking or bakery equipment as assigned, and performing various cleaning duties including the collection and disposal of garbage and trash. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Set up food service, kitchen or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils under detailed instruction
- check food temperatures and prepare areas for daily operations
- operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned
- prepare or assist in preparation of hot and cold meals and beverages
- serve food items to customers from counters and steam tables ensuring appropriate portions
- replenish foods, silverware, glassware, dishes and trays at serving stations
- order and replenish condiments as needed
- clean and maintain work areas including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils and equipment
- collect and place garbage and trash in designated containers
- wash pots, pans and other serviceware ensuring sanitary handling
- organize and replace serviceware to appropriate locations
- perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
