Job Description

The Westin Charlotte is a premier hospitality establishment located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina. Part of the globally recognized Marriott International brand, The Westin Charlotte is renowned for its commitment to exceptional guest service, upscale accommodations, and an environment that prioritizes wellness and comfort. As a full-service hotel, it caters to a diverse clientele including business travelers, tourists, and wellness-focused guests seeking a rejuvenating stay. The property blends elegant design, modern amenities, and a dedicated team to create memorable experiences for all who visit.

The Westin brand is distinguished by its mission to empower guests to regain control and enhance their well-being during their travels, aiming to be the preeminent wellness brand in hospitality. This dedication extends from the guest experience to the workplace culture, fostering an environment where associates are encouraged to embrace their own well-being and bring the brand's unique programming to life. The team at The Westin Charlotte is composed of passionate, optimistic, and adventurous professionals committed to delivering excellence in every interaction.

The role of Guest Service Support Expert at The Westin Charlotte is a non-management, full-time position within the Food and Beverage category that plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of food and beverage services. Unlike typical positions focused solely on food preparation or service, this role is designed to enhance the entire guest experience. Guest Service Support Experts act as the backbone of the service team by performing a variety of support tasks that contribute to the smooth running of food and beverage operations.

Responsibilities include setting tables, assisting kitchen staff, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas. The ideal candidate is someone who understands that their efforts directly influence the quality of the guest experience; every interaction and task performed helps create a welcoming and polished environment. This position requires physical stamina as the expert will spend extended periods standing, walking, and maneuvering safely around various surfaces while handling items weighing up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. This hands-on approach ensures operational efficiency and helps maintain the hotel’s high standards.

Guest Service Support Experts are expected to uphold company policies regarding safety and quality while maintaining a professional appearance and communication style at all times. While no prior supervisory experience is required, the role benefits from previous exposure to food and beverage environments. Education requirements are flexible, accepting a high school diploma or GED equivalent. The Westin Charlotte prioritizes inclusivity and equal opportunity, embracing the diverse backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates as a key asset to the hotel’s success.

Working at The Westin Charlotte offers not just a job but a chance to be part of a global team dedicated to well-being, quality, and service innovation. The culture encourages associates to grow personally and professionally while contributing to a supportive, welcoming, and dynamic workplace where individual contributions are valued. If you are passionate, active, optimistic, and adventurous, this opportunity provides a platform to do your best work, find purpose, and belong to an exceptional team that helps you become the best version of yourself.
