The role being offered is for aMaintenance Technician at Four Points by Sheraton located in Mesa, Arizona. This full-time, non-management position focuses on performing planned preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting and conference rooms, and public spaces to uphold the high standards of the property. The Maintenance Technician will carry out various tasks including inspection and maintenance of mattresses and bed assemblies, vacuuming behind and under furniture, stain removal from carpets and upholstery, dusting, touch-up painting, and furniture repair. Ensuring that all electrical fixtures and appliances are present and functioning correctly is also a vital part of this role, along with replacing lighting fixtures and inspecting grout and caulking.
In addition to preventive maintenance, the technician will repair miscellaneous minor issues such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and filling wall holes. General cleaning responsibilities include thoroughly cleaning all surfaces in guest rooms like bathtubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors. The role requires a proactive approach to safety by immediately reporting any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards to the manager or supervisor. The successful candidate must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, participate in safety training and certifications, and maintain professional appearance and confidentiality standards.
Physical demands are a significant aspect of this position as it involves reaching above head and below knees, bending, twisting at the waist, dragging, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and assisting with heavier objects when necessary. Job Duties
