This role is a full-time, non-management position based in Greenville, South Carolina, within the Engineering and Facilities category. It is a hands-on maintenance role with a strong emphasis on preventive care and guest room upkeep. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out planned preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces to ensure the highest standard of appearance and functionality. Duties include inspecting and rotating mattresses and box springs, assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, removing stains from carpets and upholstery, dusting, performing touch-up painting, and ensuring all room fixtures and appliances are present and operational. The Technician will also inspect and maintain lighting fixtures, grout, and caulking as needed.
The individual in this position will perform minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and filling wall holes. General cleaning of all guest room surfaces including bathtubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors is also expected. Reporting any serious maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management is critical. This role demands adherence to company safety policies including training and certifications, maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality, and delivering excellent guest service by anticipating and responding to guest needs. Physical requirements include bending, twisting, reaching, and the ability to lift and move objects weighing both under and above 50 pounds, sometimes with assistance. The Technician will be required to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods throughout the work shift and assist the team with additional reasonable duties as necessary.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Less than one year of related work experience
- No supervisor experience required
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform planned preventive maintenance in guest rooms including mattress rotation and bed frame assembly
- Vacuum behind and beneath furniture and remove stains from carpets and upholstery
- Dust, touch up paint, and ensure all room accessories and appliances are present and working
- Replace light fixtures and inspect grout and caulking
- Conduct minor repairs such as tightening toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and filling wall holes
- Clean all guest room surfaces including bathtubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors
- Report serious maintenance problems or safety hazards to management immediately
