The role of a Geek Squad Delivery Driver, also known internally as a Delivery Experience Agent, is a critical function within Best Buy’s in-home service team. This position involves delivering, installing, repairing, and hauling away a range of consumer electronics and appliances including televisions and basic complexity appliances. The role is hands-on and customer-facing, requiring the agent to not only transport these products safely and efficiently but to also expertly manage the installation process at customers’ homes or other delivery locations.

Responsible for measuring pathways, determining the best delivery routes, and ensuring that installation areas are protected and prepared, the Delivery Experience Agent plays a key role in creating a positive delivery experience. The agent assesses delivery routes to decide if any adjustments such as detaching doors or moving fixtures are necessary, demonstrating problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Delivery drivers are also expected to maintain inventory and vehicle upkeep, collaborate with store teams by processing payment and paperwork, and contribute to store operations through in-store repairs and providing feedback. Leadership qualities are encouraged, as drivers may train new employees or lead two-person delivery teams. The position requires a blend of physical capability—lifting and moving heavy items safely—and technical aptitude relating to home networking and connecting devices.

Job Requirements

  • 6 months of customer service sales installation or large product delivery experience
  • Current valid driver's license
  • Have and maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy's safety standards e g minimal number of violations accidents
  • Ability to carry lift push and pull weight up to 350 pounds alone or up to 700 pounds as part of team with the use of a harness lift or dolly with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing as required within 90 days of being hired

Job Duties

  • Process paperwork and payment provide feedback to the store teams and complete in-store repairs
  • Provide training to new drivers
  • Lead and assist on two person jobs as well as perform work alone
