Job Description

United Digestive - Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates (West Metro) is a prominent gastroenterology practice located in Douglasville, Georgia, just 20 minutes from Downtown Atlanta, the airport, and major attractions. As part of one of the nation’s largest and most respected GI networks, this practice combines strong clinical expertise with a physician-led organizational structure that promotes clinical autonomy and professional growth. United Digestive provides a supportive environment for gastroenterology physicians, offering multiple career pathways including associate, partner, and leadership roles within the network. The organization is known for its white-glove onboarding and mentorship program, providing new physicians with expert guidance and support as they integrate into the practice.

This outstanding opportunity is for a permanent, full-time Gastroenterology Physician to join the team at the Douglasville and Hiram Medical Offices. The role features a highly predictable Monday through Friday outpatient-focused schedule, supplemented by a single hospital call rotation (1:3), allowing for a balanced, manageable work-life dynamic. The practice currently includes a team of five physicians and three advanced practice providers (APPs), with an average patient volume of 15 to 18 outpatient visits per day. Physicians in this role will provide comprehensive GI care encompassing general gastroenterology and an array of specialized procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD (upper GI endoscopy), ERCP, EUS, enteroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoid banding, and TIF® procedures. Additional clinical services include infusion therapies, telehealth consultations, nutrition counseling, and video capsule endoscopy.

The position includes a competitive compensation package tailored to the candidate’s experience and training, enhanced by wRVU production bonuses and a sign-on bonus or a comprehensive stipend paired with a relocation package. Physicians benefit from an associate-to-partner pathway that typically advances within two years, alongside opportunities for United Digestive equity and endoscopy ownership. The compensation structure also includes medical, dental, and vision insurance starting from day one, malpractice coverage, CME reimbursement with dedicated CME days, and fully managed licensing and DEA assistance. This role is ideally suited to individuals who are board eligible or board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, and who are willing to obtain a Georgia medical license. New graduates through 2025 are encouraged to apply; however, locum candidates are not accepted.

Living and working in Douglasville and Hiram, Georgia, provides an attractive blend of Southern charm, access to high-quality schools, and abundant outdoor recreational opportunities. Notable nearby attractions include the Sweetwater Creek State Park and the Silver Comet Trail, offering a balanced lifestyle for professionals seeking both career advancement and personal well-being. This position offers stability and long-term earning potential within a nationally recognized GI network poised for rapid growth. Candidates interested in this opportunity are encouraged to submit their CVs for confidential consideration and to learn more about how they can contribute to this thriving community and practice.
