Job Description

Air Liquide Electronics is a global leader in providing innovative electronic materials designed to meet the evolving demands of mobility, connectivity, computing power, and energy efficiency. The company specializes in the supply of ultra-pure carrier gases, specialty gases, advanced precursor molecules, and state-of-the-art equipment for safe gas distribution, purification, and real-time purity monitoring. Operating on-site at semiconductor manufacturing locations, Air Liquide leverages its expertise to manage and optimize the production and distribution of gases and molecules, ensuring the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in highly technical environments.

Air Liquide is hiring a Gas Plant Production Technician in Phoenix, AZ, to join their team at the 51st Avenue facility supporting carrier gases for TSMC, a leading semiconductor manufacturer. This role offers a competitive pay range of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package covering medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, and disability insurance. The technician position is full-time and requires dedication to safety, operational excellence, and collaboration in a fast-paced and highly regulated industrial setting.

The Gas Plant Production Technician will work in a team-based environment responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical systems such as steam methane reformers, CO2 purification units, high purity helium systems, and supporting utilities that deliver essential gases to the semiconductor manufacturing process. The technician monitors plant systems for abnormalities, responds to alarms and unusual indicators, and partners closely with engineers and site managers to uphold uninterrupted 24/7 gas delivery.

This role demands hands-on involvement in the startup, repair, and preventive maintenance of gas production and delivery equipment, including compressors, valves, pumps, cooling towers, water treatment systems, and electronic monitoring devices. The technician will also prepare gas systems for scheduled maintenance by following strict protocols for purging, cleaning, flushing, and isolating energy sources in adherence to corporate and local safety standards.

Participation in the Safe Work Permit program is essential, including roles as an authorized person, permit writer, and worker, reinforcing the company's commitment to occupational health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) excellence. The technician executes equipment functional testing prior to customer acceptance, maintains calibration of specialty gas delivery infrastructure, and documents maintenance and repair activities meticulously.

Air Liquide values employees who demonstrate a desire to learn engineering concepts, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within diverse teams to address operational challenges. The Gas Plant Production Technician will also support other Air Liquide facilities in the U.S. during turnaround events, outages, and commissioning processes, which may require some travel.

Air Liquide prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where unique perspectives and backgrounds are respected, honored, and valued. This inclusive culture supports innovation and growth, enabling the company to meet the complex needs of its global customer base. Joining Air Liquide means becoming part of a team dedicated to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction in the high-technology semiconductor industry.
