Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science degree or higher in Hospitality or Food Service Management
  • certification as Food Service Manager or other as required by State County or Local regulations
  • two plus years supervisory experience in hotel or free standing restaurant
  • ability to develop and maintain effective operating and control processes
  • effective management, leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of food service operations and cost control
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, direct and coordinate all culinary activities
  • ensure efficient operation of culinary department
  • supervise kitchen activities to maintain quality and timely delivery of food
  • manage labor and operational costs within budget
  • recruit, train and schedule culinary staff
  • maintain inventory and storeroom requisitions
  • communicate effectively with culinary and hotel management
  • conduct departmental and team meetings to align on goals and updates
  • uphold and enforce safety and hygiene standards
  • promote teamwork and maintain excellent guest and employee relations
