Job Requirements

  • Current California Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience in professional kitchen environments preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to perform various kitchen tasks including cleaning and receiving deliveries

Job Qualifications

  • Exceptional knife skills
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail
  • Experience in a professional kitchen such as garde-manger, catering, or fine dining prep
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time within a shift
  • Current California Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain one
  • Great communication skills
  • High personal standard for quality

Job Duties

  • Prepare, label and properly store fruit, vegetables, meats and cheeses
  • Follow through on daily production assignments
  • Create artisan grazing spreads with a strong aesthetic sense and exacting knife skills
  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized and abide by all hygiene and safety best practices
  • Work hard and jump in when needed, such as sweeping floors and washing dishes
  • Listen carefully and ask questions when something is unclear
  • Receive delivery orders and perform other tasks as necessary
