The Gaming Marketing & Events Manager position at BetMGM plays a pivotal role connecting our digital gaming operations with MGM Resorts International's extensive land-based casino properties. This role is especially crucial for maintaining a seamless alignment between the online and physical gaming experiences, focusing primarily on BetMGM's Michigan and Borgata Online New Jersey brands and their presence at MGM Grand Detroit and Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa. The position is based in either New Jersey or Detroit, Michigan, emphasizing the importance of regional market expertise and hands-on collaboration with our land-based partners.

This role requires a highly visible and strategic marketing expert with a deep understanding of the gaming industry, particularly in casino event coordination and marketing. The Gaming Marketing & Events Manager will lead the efforts to promote the BetMGM and Borgata Online gaming brands within MGM properties through integrated marketing campaigns and live event activations. These endeavors aim to boost brand awareness, encourage customer conversion, and foster long-term loyalty among players across physical and digital channels.

Key responsibilities include managing relationships between BetMGM gaming teams and MGM property marketing and special events departments to ensure consistent and effective brand presentation. The manager will oversee all facets of event and activation execution, including planning timelines, vendor coordination, budget oversight, and compliance adherence. Signature events might include large-scale Big Pull activations, VIP experience weekends, and co-branded digital-to-retail marketing campaigns that drive player engagement using platforms like Betting Hero.

Successful candidates will possess strong organizational and project management skills, enabling them to handle multiple initiatives while managing regional priorities. They will demonstrate a passion for gaming, superior communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders at BetMGM and MGM Resorts International. The role also requires licensing compliance, regular travel to support onsite events, and an ability to navigate and lead within a highly regulated industry.

The Gaming Marketing & Events Manager is eligible for an annual salary between $100,000 and $125,000, with the potential for a performance-based bonus. The exact salary offer will depend on factors such as market, skills, education, and experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be located in NJ or Detroit, MI
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license in relevant jurisdictions
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to MGM Grand Detroit and Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa properties including evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and technological devices for extended periods
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without need for immigration sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in gaming, marketing, event management, hospitality, or related industry with live event execution experience
  • Proven leadership of events teams with daily guidance and accountability
  • Demonstrated success in executing live events including vendor coordination, budget management, and real-time problem-solving
  • Experience collaborating across multiple departments including marketing, operations, VIP services, and property leadership
  • Knowledge of online and land-based casino operations preferred
  • Familiarity with regional MGM Resorts properties and BetMGM product ecosystem preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with data analysis and strategy development skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and a proactive mindset

Job Duties

  • Manage relationships between BetMGM gaming teams and MGM land-based properties to ensure brand visibility
  • Partner with MGM property special events and marketing teams for brand placements and activations
  • Serve as a liaison for event operations, digital and physical signage coordination to ensure smooth logistics and compliance
  • Oversee day-to-day direction of gaming events and marketing team including planning, prioritization, vendor management, and execution
  • Plan and execute gaming-related property events such as tournaments, VIP experiences, and promotions
  • Maintain and manage event calendars aligned with marketing campaigns and corporate goals
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence, CRM, and Loyalty teams to analyze performance and support targeted communications
