The Charleston RiverDogs are a professional baseball team affiliated with Minor League Baseball, known for their passionate fan base and vibrant game-day atmosphere. The Charleston RiverDogs are currently hiring experienced bartenders for their 2026 season to join their dynamic concessions team. This role involves working at multiple alcohol service locations during home games, including bars and private event areas. Bartenders are essential to maintaining a lively and efficient beverage service that enhances the overall fan experience. This position offers a base hourly rate of $7.25, complemented by tips, making the total compensation competitive for the industry. Shifts typically start at 5:30 PM from Tuesday through Friday, 4:30 PM on Saturdays, and 3:30 PM on Sundays, typically lasting around four hours but extending depending on game length. Availability on Thursdays is mandatory, as those are key service days during the baseball season.
Candidates must have a strong knowledge of various alcoholic beverages including spirits, draft beer, canned beer, and cocktail mixing techniques. Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years old
- knowledge of spirits, draft beer, and cocktails
- availability to work Tuesday through Sunday with mandatory Thursday availability
- ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior bartending or bar service experience
- knowledge of spirits, draft beer, canned beer, and cocktail preparation
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons
- operate bar equipment and handle cash transactions
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- adhere to all state and local alcohol service regulations
- assist in setting up and breaking down bar stations during events
- provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries or complaints
- participate in team meetings and training sessions
