Job Description

The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) is a premier sports organization dedicated to delivering world-class women's hockey competition and fostering meaningful connections with fans and communities. The PWHL is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Game Presentation & Fan Experience Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in crafting the in-venue experience that captivates and excites fans during home games and special events. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Operations, the manager will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of all game-day presentation elements, ensuring that each event aligns with the team and league brand standards. This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $77,000 USD.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic event production professional with a strong background in live event production, sports entertainment, or game presentation. They will oversee everything from scripting PA announcements and timing sheets to managing the seasonal game-day team comprising control room operators, in-arena hosts, PA announcers, DJs, hype teams, and game-day assistants. Coordination with various stakeholders such as broadcast teams, social media, content creators, and hockey operations is essential to deliver a cohesive and immersive fan experience.

Special emphasis is placed on leadership, creative storytelling, and technical knowledge of in-venue entertainment technologies including video, lighting, and audio systems. The manager must adeptly coordinate with external vendors and service contracts while managing budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel, along with a hybrid working arrangement that involves on-site presence for games and rehearsals in the United States.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in live event production or sports entertainment
  • Experience with game presentation and event day team management
  • Knowledge of audio video lighting and live production technologies
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site for games and events
  • Ability to conduct pre-game rehearsals and coordinate cross-departmental teams
  • Experience managing budgets and service contracts

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in live event production sports entertainment or game presentation
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale event productions from concept through execution including scripting show calling and cueing technical elements in a live setting
  • Experience managing and motivating event day staff and talent under pressure
  • Strong understanding of in-venue entertainment technologies including audio video lighting and control room operations
  • Familiarity with sponsorship activations community engagement initiatives and fan-facing promotions
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and travel as required
  • Based in the United States and legally authorized to work full-time without visa sponsorship

Job Duties

  • Oversee the end-to-end development and execution of game-day production materials for all home games including run of show documents host and public address (PA) scripts timing sheets and broadcast coordination notes
  • Manage seasonal game-day team including control room operators in-arena hosts PA announcers DJs hype teams and game-day assistants
  • Manage the coordination of service contracts and payroll for the game-day team
  • Facilitate pre-game rehearsals and production meetings to ensure cross-departmental alignment and readiness for live execution
  • Oversee all in-game entertainment and presentation elements across all home games including integration of video lighting audio graphics and live talent
  • Collaborate closely with the Hockey Operations team to plan and execute special presentations ceremonial puck drops and league-driven initiatives
  • Coordinate with social media content and broadcast teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and alignment across platforms
  • Manage the fan experience operating budget ensuring effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility
