Job Description

Baker-Hall is a contemporary art gallery located in the vibrant Allapattah neighborhood of Miami, founded in 2024 by Amanda Baker-Hall. The gallery specializes in painting and sculpture, focusing on both narrative and non-objective styles. Baker-Hall is committed to promoting emerging and mid-career artists through innovative curatorial approaches and offers comprehensive art advisory services. With a robust exhibition schedule that features at least eight rotating exhibitions annually, Baker-Hall serves a diverse clientele, including private collectors and prominent corporate institutions. Job Requirements

  • Open to college juniors seniors and recent graduates
  • Availability of 2 to 3 days per week during gallery hours Tuesday through Saturday 12 pm to 5 pm
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace Excel and Adobe Photoshop
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Positive and proactive work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program in fine arts design or operations
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace Excel and Adobe Photoshop
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude reliability and proactive approach

Job Duties

  • Organizing and maintaining internal databases including client contacts inventory records and art fair information using Google Suite Excel and Arternal
  • Assisting with exhibition preparation including creating checklists compiling wall labels confirming image credits and supporting install logistics
  • Conducting artist and market research to support curatorial planning sales outreach and artist relations
  • Supporting the gallery's digital archive by organizing high-res image files updating artwork metadata and ensuring image rights documentation is complete
  • Providing front desk coverage greeting visitors and assisting during exhibition openings walkthroughs and special events
  • Collaborating with operations staff to manage shipping and art handling
  • Assisting with press tracking social media content prep and general communication
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to ongoing workflow improvements
