The available role involves a flexible work schedule that requires availability during weekends, holidays, and various shifts, reflective of the dynamic hospitality environment. The Food and Beverage Department at the Hilton Aventura places a strong emphasis on consistency, operational compliance, and safety standards. The position demands ensuring all daily operational procedures are completed flawlessly while maintaining food and beverage safety and quality in line with the hotel, Shaner, and franchise specifications. Communication is key in this role; seamless interaction with the General Manager, Department Managers, Supervisors, and staff members is essential to maintaining smooth operations and superior guest service.

Key responsibilities entail courteously greeting and escorting guests to tables, assisting in seating arrangements, and ensuring the restaurant maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service. The individual will also support restaurant preparations, manage reservation taking and recording, and monitor guest needs throughout service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in restaurant or food and beverage service
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training
  • Completion of alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members
  • Willingness to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest service

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in the restaurant or food and beverage field
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers
  • High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training
  • Alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele

Job Duties

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
  • Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department
  • Maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications
  • Ensure communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff
  • Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring hotel’s standards of service
  • Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the room
  • Take, record, and confirm reservations as specified in the department's standards
