Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in restaurant or food and beverage service
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training
- Completion of alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
- Effective communication skills with guests and team members
- Willingness to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest service
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in the restaurant or food and beverage field
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers
- High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred
- ServSafe and/or food safety training
- Alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele
Job Duties
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
- Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department
- Maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications
- Ensure communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff
- Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring hotel’s standards of service
- Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the room
- Take, record, and confirm reservations as specified in the department's standards
