The Association made a landmark $100 million investment in research in 2023, demonstrating its steadfast commitment to accelerating breakthroughs that will one day end Alzheimer's and related diseases. Recognized as a Best Place to Work for twelve consecutive years, the Alzheimer's Association fosters an inclusive and supportive work environment where diverse perspectives are valued, ensuring equitable opportunities for early diagnosis, risk reduction, and access to care across all communities, especially underrepresented and underserved groups.

The Manager of Walk to End Alzheimer's is a pivotal role within this esteemed organization, responsible for leading and implementing Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world's largest fundraiser dedicated to Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. This event ranks as the second-largest peer-to-peer fundraising initiative in the United States and is among the fastest-growing walk events nationally. The 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer's was again recognized as the #2 peer-to-peer fundraising event in the country and stood out for achieving the largest dollar growth among the top programs.

In this role, you will leverage your exceptional networking and relationship-building skills to cultivate key community connections, driving success by strategically engaging community and corporate leaders. Your responsibilities will include managing multiple volunteer-led mass-market events to consistently surpass revenue and participation goals, prospecting, cultivating, and stewarding event teams, sponsors, and participants. You will foster a positive, healthy, and inclusive team environment renowned for strong, long-term community relationships. This position requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and data-driven decision-making as you manage event budgets, timelines, milestones, and volunteer training.

Located in Cedar Rapids or Iowa City, Iowa, this full-time role (37.5 hours per week) offers a competitive salary range of $53,000 to $61,500 with a performance-based incentive opportunity up to $13,000, depending on portfolio size and goal achievement.
